The True Meaning of Work-Life BalanceSep 07, 2023
Last month, we eloped in the Niagara region and headed to Crystal Beach for a romantic honeymoon.
We did something radical. We turned off every notification, left our computers at home, and eloped.
While finalizing LP's latest feature film. As another exciting project was ramping up. And while we geared up for the launch of our next course.
We deliberately took seven days off from the usual work chaos, emergencies, and hot potatoes. We were off the grid, with no exceptions.
But we remember a time not so long ago when stepping away from work, even for a few days, meant setting ourselves up for an overwhelming workload and stress upon our return.
Timing? It wasn't exactly 'perfect' for our ongoing productions.
But here's what happened during our brief hiatus:
- Deliverables were met.
- Challenges were met head-on.
- Unforeseen curveballs were expertly handled.
- Our colleagues operated like a well-oiled machine.
- Overtime remained a distant memory.
- The studio did not burn down.
- And our clients still adore us (even if we didn't answer one of their calls).
What's changed since stepping away from work meant paying for it later with an avalanche of pending tasks?
We trained our team!
- We equipped our team to tackle emergencies effectively.
- We taught them to transform 911 situations into manageable tasks.
- We provided them with tools to stay composed when the unexpected arose.
- We cultivated a team mindset centered on productive, efficient action.
In our latest 60-minute group workshop, "False Emergencies," we're excited to share these insights with you and your team.
Expect fewer 911 calls, reduced overtime, and less stress. These translate to achieving our calendar and budget goals, heightened motivation, and a lower risk of burnout.
If you're ready to break free from the cycle of stress and enjoy a more productive approach, we're here to support you every step of the way.
