A Scope of Work That Works For You

Our scope of work is not a jail where we put our client's idea and lock the door.

It's the roadmap that leads to creative freedom, while keeping your production profitable.

Changes to the scope of work are 100% inevitable in animation production.

''The clients always want more!''

Yeah. That's their job description. Your client is responsible for pushing the creative envelope, striving for excellence, and seeing how far they can stretch that budget.

As a production team member at the servicing studio, YOUR task description and accountability are much different. You are responsible for managing creative expectations, meeting deliverables, and protecting the project's profit.

Different task descriptions, goals, and ambitions. Yet, creating the same content together, and heading to the same destination

How can we bridge the gap to work together instead of against one another?

The answer is in one simple tool: your scope of work document.

We need extra clarity about WHAT we are producing together before putting any end dates in a spreadsheet or establishing milestones.

I see so many teams skip this part because they want to land the gig or keep the team busy.

But ''we'll figure out scope of work later'' is like saying ''we'll fix it in post'' - stressful, super expensive, and maybe even a little delulu.

You don't manage a schedule; you manage the creative process, ideas, iterations, perceptions, emotions, and motivation. It's much bigger than putting end dates in a spreadsheet.

Scheduling is more than a tool. It's a sought-after expertise that can make or break even the coolest creative ideas.

Helping you put together a schedule that works FOR you, and not the other way around, is my mission in life. So much creativity, well-being, and profitability are available when you work with a well-strategized production schedule. If I could only geek out about one thing for the rest of my career, our production schedule would be it.

Because that's how important and influential scheduling is. Its impacts go way beyond your workplace, and trickle down into your personal life and that of your team.

Cause I have yet to meet anyone who loves working relentless overtime in a high-stress environment...

There is a better way.
