My name is Louis-Philippe Vermette. I am an Animation Executive Producer with 25 years of experience working on films, television and game cinematics.
My journey in the industry may have started as a Storyboard artist, but before I knew it, I became a project manager, creative producer, and eventually Executive Producer in charge of Business Development at a reputable Montreal studio. In less than 24 months, I brought in over 20 million dollars in business while also securing over a quarter of a million dollars in revenues for myself.
I wasn't set up for success: I come from a remote town in the North of Quebec and didn't learn to speak English until my twenties, so if I could do it, you can too!
I've had the chance to work on some of the coolest IPs in the world, like Assassin's Creed and Mortal Combat, and get awarded projects from clients like Netflix and Disney. I am also the Canadian Co-Producer of the feature film 10 Lives by legendary director Chris Jenkins, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews and is currently taking audiences by storm.
Along the way, I refined my business development strategy and approach to bidding, budgeting, and client relationships.
I teach animation professionals worldwide a strategy to help them attract more business with a solid cost structure despite industry ups and downs.
